Fractured Online is a massively multiplayer role-playing game, available since September 15 in early access on PC . It stands out from other titles in its category with its ever-changing world. Choose your character carefully!
How to do ?
In Fractured Online, everything starts with the hero creation stage, and it is advisable not to skim it - perhaps even more so than in other MMORPGs. The title will first offer you to select a race among the Humans, the Wildfolk (themselves subdivided into two sub-races, the Tiger-Kin and the Hart-Kin) and the Demons (currently in development) .
It will then be a question of choosing a starting story, to choose from "gladiator", "archer", "arcanist" and "street rat" . This will simply change your starting skills: you should know that you do not choose a class for life in Fractured Online. You will finally have 30 points to allocate in a table of attributes, which will define your strength, your intelligence… definitively, for once.
What is it used for ?
Choosing one type of character or the other changes a lot of things in Fractured Online. Each race of course has its own appearance, as well as its strengths and weaknesses : some will have more dexterity, resistance to the elements or critical chance.
But that's far from everything, because choosing a race also defines our starting planet; each with their own unique biomes... and their own laws. Indeed, the homeland of the Demons is designed for great PvP enthusiasts ; it is a place of merciless fighting and looting. The planet of Wildfolk is located perfectly opposite, because it is a friendly territory where the confrontations between players are necessarily consented. For a balanced experience, adventurers should choose the human race: protection is complete in the city, but beware of the wilderness.

2. Collect all available resources
How it works ?
Once you arrive in the Fractured Online universe, click in the environment to pick up everything around you! In particular, we can find flax, raspberries, ceps, branches, small stones ...
Assume that everything in the world is important, and make the most of what nature has to offer.
And the interest in all this?
Discovering and picking up an unknown resource gives you 250 knowledge points each time. With these points, you will be able to upgrade your attributes, and buy skills from over 400 available.
And of course, the harvest is also used for crafting ! Open the dedicated menu and turn your finds into useful items for your adventure. For example, you can protect yourself from the temperatures with a linen outfit, make a rudimentary weapon using a stick and a carved stone, concoct a herbal remedy, or even assemble stones to create a fire. camp and rest there. This is a central mechanic in Fractured Online that you will need to master.
3. Go into battle and learn!
What is the instruction ?
Create a makeshift weapon beforehand using your crafting menu (whether it's a dagger, a staff or even a bow), and go measure yourself against your first opponents. In the starting area, you'll find tough enemies like goblins and wolves ... but also easy prey like rabbits.
Fractured Online is very inspired by action-RPGs in isometric view, so use your mouse to click on your opponents, and your keyboard to launch your skills. Always stay on the move , and don't hesitate to use dodges!
What do we gain from it?
The advantages of combat are manifold in Fractured Online. Defeated opponents will, for example, drop important objects, such as manufacturing plans, meat to cook, or even gold . The latter is central and is used to trade with other players, to buy a house, and to improve certain equipment.
The enemies will also offer a significant amount of knowledge points: going straight through the game's tutorial offers 450 points , while fighting each type of monster in the starting area earns 3000 points. This allows you to enter the open world with much more know-how.
4. Tame your first mount
Explain the principle to me!
To catch your first mount, you can turn to the horses that frolic in the plains area. Start by collecting fibers from the environment, then transform them into ropes in the crafting menu, and finally change these ropes into "animal nets".
All you have to do is approach a horse without startling it, and throw a net to block it . Then click on the animal to try to tame it; it may take several tries, but it's worth the effort.
What are the benefits of a mount?
It's important to explore new places in the vast world of Fractured Online. Indeed, each new area discovered offers knowledge points . In addition, each territory has its own enemies and unique vegetation, which leads to even more discoveries.
In this context, owning a mount is essential, as the journey on foot can seem endless. The horse greatly accelerates the movements; note in passing that you can take the roads to go even faster than on the grass.
Thus equipped with an outfit, a weapon, a mount and a lot of experience, you are ready to face all the challenges of Fractured Online! 5. Join a Gamers Guild
How to play several?
Another well-known saying: unity is strength. That couldn't be more true in Fractured Online, where you'll need help to pull off the greatest feats. Do not hesitate to open your "Social" menu to create a group of players and more easily achieve your current objectives.
It is also possible to found a guild in your name, or to join an existing one. It's a great way to collaborate on the short, medium and long term with trusted companions and experience unique adventures that you can remember over time!
Once your guild has been created, you can also participate in several group activities : some simple ones such as hunting monsters or collecting resources useful for the development of your common city; and others conducive to the challenge such as besieging enemy cities or defeating titanic bosses.
What are the advantages ?
By joining a guild, you can therefore build a real city, trade with neighboring cities or besiege them. Performing all these tasks will allow you to recover points thanks to which your gang will climb the ranks and unlock… rewards!
Fractured Online offers a new system of seasons that encourages confrontation . During each season, each guild must try to collect as many points as possible to climb the world rankings (a score visible in the "Social" menu and calculated according to the knowledge points of its members, their level in PvP …).
