It was during TwitchCon in San Diego that streamer Adriana Chechik had a serious accident in the foam cube pool. Following this, she was rushed to the hospital, and despite a non-committed vital prognosis, the sequelae are still very present. By jumping this foam pool which she thought was totally safe (the goal of a foam pool after all) , Adriana Chechik actually fell on the concrete slab which was just below and broke her back together different places.
A serious injury that plunged her into a real hell of hospital stays, operations and non-stop pain. But as the streamer lost hope, she was able to return home yesterday. A step towards healing , which will undoubtedly be long and painful.
"I'm so happy to have left the hospital!"
First ray of hope for Adriana Chechik , the streamer left the hospital yesterday. These last days spent in constant suffering have totally traumatized her and despite the support of hospital staff, the influencer is happy to finally be able to return home. On top of that, she Adriana gives an update on her condition, saying she can finally urinate on her own. So it would seem that his recovery is fast, despite the great damage caused by the cursed foam pool.
"Why did you jump?"
Many users on the networks asked the streamer why she jumped. A rather odd intervention given that the very purpose of a foam cube pool is obviously to jump into it. Remarks to which Adriana responded, saying that these injuries were in no way her fault and it seems quite logical that this is the responsibility of TwitchCon as well as Lenovo (the pool in question being at the Lenovo booth) .
Additionally, it's important to note that other streamers/influencers have injured themselves by daring to jump into the foam cube pool at TwitchCon. It is therefore not Adriana Chechik who miscalculated her fall, but the people who supervised the event who are at fault.
On October 10, Lenovo spoke to Kotaku : "We are aware of incidents where TwitchCon visitors injured themselves in the soft foam gladiator pit at the Lenovo booth. The area has since been closed for further use while we work with event organizers to investigate the incidents." This could cost the company, as well as Twitch, a lot of money.
In any case, the streamer victim of the infernal foam cube pool will be able to rest at home. It is very likely that she posts regularly on the networks in order to keep her followers informed. We sincerely hope that her recovery will be quick and that she will soon be able to start living a full life again.
