If it's time to watch the World Cup, but at the same time your group of friends absolutely wants to play a game, it's now possible to play and watch the competition at the same time. Epic today announced the addition of a system to bring the World Cup stream directly into your game.
To do this, go to the lobby once the World Cup has been launched and click on the "Watch" button that will have appeared at the top right of the screen. The stream will appear in a corner of your lobby and you can start a game while keeping an eye on the competition.
If the broadcast bothers you, you can make it disappear during your match by pressing escape and clicking on "Stop Video".
It is also possible to track a particular player. To do so, go to the "Competition" tab of the lobby and then to the "World Cup" section to find the list of participating players. Click on a player to get the option to see his/her point of view and only his/hers point of view during the whole tournament.
Warning: it will apparently not be possible to mute the stream, so you will hear both the sounds of your game and the sounds of the broadcast.
