During the Fortnite World Cup Epic Games announced the launch of Season 10 — alongside a new competitive mode, the Fortnite Champion Series. This competition will bring together the best Fortnite players, who will compete for "millions of dollars". This new competition will be the first to take the form of a competitive league format.
Through a press release, we got to learn a little more about the Fortnite Champion Series. It will start on August 17 and will be played over five weeks, with an instant summary of the results — i.e. players will have direct and real-time access to their performances in the competition.
We also got to know a little more about the format, since the competition will be contested by teams of three players (trios). Epic Games has not yet released the exact prize pool for the entire league, but in the press release they explained that each event will have its own independent cash prize — which could potentially be several million dollars!
