In news entirely unexpected, id Software are bringing the first three Doom games to the big three home consoles, as well as Android and iOS systems.

QuakeCon: Original Doom trilogy comes to Switch, PS4, Xbox One and mobile!

After bringing the 2016 version of Doom to Switch, id Software dropped a surprise announcement at QuakeCon over the weekend that the original Doom trilogy was coming to Nintendo's hybrid console, as well as PS4 and Xbox One. It was also announced that the three games would be made available on Android and iOS devices.

The games were made available immediately following the announcement, for the following prices:

  • Doom: $4.99
  • Doom 2: $4.99
  • Doom 3: $9.99

It has since been discovered that a Bethesda account is required to launch the game.
