Granblue Fantasy Versus: Release date announced

Fans of Arc System Works (Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear) can't wait any longer for Granblue Fantasy Versus, but will have to wait until February 6, 2020 to get their hands on the game.

For the occasion, the developers also dropped a little information, in particular that the game will offer a story mode that takes the form of a 2D Action RPG, with local and online co-op.

Not only is this sure to excite fans of both ArcSys and the genre, it also revealed that 11 characters will be available at launch (of which we only know eight).

Also, a Character Pass will be available for purchase, offering five additional fighters to be released gradually.

No price has been revealed, although we know that a Standard Edition will cost ¥6,980 (about $65) and a Collector's Edition — which can be pre-ordered from 5 August 2019 — for ¥11,860 (about $112), and will contain:

  • The official soundtrack on CD
  • A special PlayStation 4 system theme
  • A range of PlayStation Network avatars
  • A special artbook
  • The Character Pass
  • A special color pack DLC
  • A product code for items in the Granblue Fantasy mobile game
