Sony could probably have done without this bad publicity, especially after a battery of ads at the ChinaJoy game show. Among the titles shown, MiHoYo-developed Genshin Impact made quite a lot of noise. As you can see in the trailer above, the game looks like a standard action RPG — with many mechanics and designs seemingly straight out of Breath of the Wild.
The reactions of the crowd on site were very vocal — one person even destroyed his PS4 there and then. Many images of the racket caused by fans, waving their Switch consoles and throwing obscene gestures at any screen showing the Genshin Impact trailer, have been posted online.

As yet, Sony have not issued a response regarding the furore over the Chinese-developed game, as fans of Zelda seemingly take it personally that Genshin Impact is 'shamelessly' copying Nintendo's beloved title.
