Epic Games just responded to the wave of #RemoveTheMech that were swarming Twitter by explaining they wish to keep the B.R.U.T.E in Fortnite.

Lately, a lot of Tweets were criticizing the B.R.U.TE — last feature that was added to Fortnite. According to them, it's not even over-powered: it's a weapon of mass destruction which doesn't fit the competitive aspect of the game.

However, Epic Games doesn't feel the same as most of their players.

"The mission of Fortnite is to bring players of all skill levels together to have a fun experience where anyone can win. For example - everyone having a shot at that first elimination or Victory Royale moment and the satisfying feeling that comes with it. Right now, we know there are players out there who have never had that opportunity."

The B.R.U.T.E aims at giving players the opportunity to enjoy Royal Victories while having maximum fun. The first objective of this new Season 10 feature was to give less experienced players the possibility to reach Top 1.

Fights that will actually use the exoskeleton should be something rare, therefore Epic Game made some tweaks on the B.R.U.T.E. especially within the Arena mode. The rate of appearance has become less frequent in order to avoid unbalanced battles at the end of the game with the titanic armor.

We can note that since its adjustments, the average number of eliminations has dropped drastically.
