For once, the temporal disruptions specific to Fortnite's Season 10 even seem to be affecting the rate at which patches are released. For the second time in a row, this week's update — normally unveiled on Tuesday — appears to be falling behind schedule.
Last week, the patch release occurred on Wednesday. However, there's nothing to panic about — even if Epic Games seem to take wicked pleasure in remaining silent!
This new update will more than likely be released within 48 hours, and for several reasons:
Stop rift-zone game endings
Epic Games announced this weekend one of the most important changes in the upcoming 10.31 update. It concerns the ends of games, and the final circle. Until now, it was possible for the final skirmish to occur in rift zones. If fighting in original places seems cool when you start a game, it's much less so when you lose because of a taco...
It will soon change, since an algorithm will ensure that no game can end in any rift zone.
Next challenges require map changes
Leaked on social networks for several days now, the mission that will be deployed this Thursday is called Storm Racer. Players will have to be fast, because it marks the return of timed challenges — last seen spicing up Season 6. However, these challenges are strictly unachievable on the current map, which means we will need a patch to change that!
A rocket to be built
Season 10 is coming to an end, and the Internet is full of theories about its outcome. According to most game experts, the rocket under construction at Dusty Depot could have a central role in the storyline — as well as its designer, the mysterious Scientist.
Many players are expecting a radical map change or a new major event. That's why 10.31 content update is eagerly awaited by all players! We still have to wait until tomorrow to learn more about it.
