Enhance Games reveals crowd simulation Humanity

Since Enhance joined the project, Humanity has taken shape nicely — and has now unveiled it to the masses as part of Sony's State of Play broadcast.

Humanity is once again a title with an original concept proposed by the Japanese studio Enhance (Rez, Lumines, Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect) and the Tokyo-based design studio Tha. Announced for 2020 on PS4, it will offer PSVR support. The project was born three years ago in Tha's offices, based on an idea from its founder Yugo Nakamura. Enhance joined the project in 2018.

This short Humanity trailer highlights the massive use of crowds, whether to collaborate or compete. We will have to deal with a kind of human behavior simulator, where the crowds seem to act as a single entity. As usual with Enhance productions, all our senses are likely to be stimulated, and this experience should prove hypnotic if we are to believe the words of Tetsuya Mizuguchi, founder and CEO of Enhance Games.
