As Modus Games prepares to launch Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch next week on October 8, developper Frozenbyte is now showing us a brand new trailer showcasing the three heroes and their respective abilities as well as a brief overview of the cooperation mode. We see the different options the player has been given to solve the puzzles, as well as the different possible methods to tackle the battles. This is already a first glimpse of what Trine 4 has to offer, while waiting to read our review.
As a reminder, the title is based on the three usual heroes of the series between whom we can alternate: the magician Amadeus, the knight Pontius and the thief Zoya. Together, they must work to bring Prince Celius back to the Astral Academy and free the world of Trine from the nightmares of its inhabitants that The Prince releases in its path. Each hero has his own skill tree that will gradually be completed as he progresses in the adventure, giving access to new gameplay options, while also allowing everyone to choose certain skills according to their affinities. Note that the game's puzzles also adapt to the number of players, which allows the game to expand with new options, especially since the 4 players will be able to collaborate.
