If we already knew that Skydance Interactive (Archangel: Hellfire) and Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead) were working hand in hand to bring VR games to life in the world of The Walking Dead since E3 2017, it was last summer that we learned of the existence of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, initially announced for 2019 without further details. It will be a little less late than expected since the official trailer that has just been put online reveals a release date of January 23, 2020 on PC with compatibility for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Valve Index as announced on the Steam page.
The game takes place in New Orleans where the undead have invaded the streets and where everyone will have to find a way to survive not only the walkers but also the violence, disease and famine that are plaguing the city. To do this, a whole arsenal that can be adapted to everyone's style will be proposed. We will have access to two holsters, the possibility of carrying two heavy weapons (firearms or knives), as well as a backpack to store various equipment such as first aid kits which can be crafted in our base, i.e the school bus. In addition to fighting, the choices you make will have a major impact, such as whether you oppose or sympathize with each group of survivors, or choose one side over another. You'll be forced to deal with the dilemmas that the game won't hesitate to give you. Your decisions will of course have repercussions on the fate of other survivors, but also of the entire city. Will you be a saint or a sinner?
