Fortnite is popular for many things, among which is the possibility to customize everything — including outfits, back blings, gliders and much more. You can create your own unique character using hundreds of cosmetics, and it's probably the only current game to offer so many possibilities to its players.
However, Epic Games should do more — according to top streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. He stated that creativity and novelty have been missing for several months regarding skins in Fortnite, and for good reason: 'new' outfits are in fact just existing concepts with minor modifications.
During a live stream with his duo partner Malachi "Reverse2k" Grenier, Ninja gave the example of two skins to explain his point: Abstrakt, an old skin, and Street Striker, which recently appeared in the shop. He said: "Look at them. He’s got paint, hoodie, gas mask, ‘TT’ on his hat. What is the actual difference? You’re literally purchasing the same skin, and they’ve been doing it more often than not.”
The American player would even prefer Epic to take their time to release rarer, but less frequent, skins. Knowing that Ninja is one of the most popular Fortnite streamers in the world — despite his migration from Twitch to Mixer — we can only hope that his message will be heard by the game developers. In any case, we wouldn't be against a bit of innovation in the Fortnite shop!
