We had been warned last week: with a two months extended season, it was clear that the Fortnite content wouldn't be as regular as it used to be. Epic Games has slowed down on the new features since the launch of Chapter 2, and this week, against all expectations, the community is facing a complete lack of content updates.
Usually, updates with new content (weapons, map changes, items...) were deployed on Tuesday — or Wednesday as a last resort — just before the arrival of the new weekly mission. This time, it seems that the battle royale doesn't change an inch in the last week of November.
It isn't out of the question that change will happen by Sunday. The last example to date being the arrival of Gotham City which had been made during a weekend in Season X.
If the battle royale seems to have been left behind for several weeks, the same cannot be said for the Save the World mode — which continues to be supplied with patch notes, new weapons...
It is difficult to to read between the lines of the game at the time of writing these lines. The dataminers had put their finger on two potential new weapons over the past few days: the Heavy Assault Rifle and the Sniper Assault Rifle. One could have been added to the game on the sly — like the Harpoon Gun — but this isn't the case.
Let's wait until tomorrow to take advantage of the new mission. This will also close the cycle of hidden letters to be found during the season. Is this a sign of a click on the game?
