We thought it was dead and buried, but the collaboration between Fortnite and Star Wars is back on the table. Last night, green messages have been appearing from time to time on the big screen at the heart of Risky Reels.
What will be announced is pretty clear: an exclusive extract from The Rise of Skywalker will be broadcast in Fortnite, live from Risky Reels' outdoor cinema. The show is scheduled for Saturday, December 14 at 10:30 am (PDT) — six days before the release of J. J. Abrams' film. If you're a movie buff, this will be an event not to be missed, especially as it could pave the way for even greater collaboration.
The collaboration with Star Wars has so far been limited to a Stormtrooper skin and an imperial ship miles from the island of Apollo.
It was obvious that something was going to happen directly from Risky Reels. After the appearance of cranes to move the cars, it was a slipped screen and then sound tests from Epic Games that were noticed by players. Keep an eye on this cinema next Saturday! As is customary in this type of event, Epic Games should provide players with a temporary "no damage done" mode so that everyone can fully enjoy the show.
