The third chapter of Galakrond's Awakening, Hearthstone's latest solo adventure, is called Air Battle Over Dragonblight. On this page you can access all the information about the E.V.I.L campaign version — but don't worry, explorer friends, you'll find all the information for your camp on the other page!
- You will be able to access this third chapter for 700 pieces or $6,99, like all the other chapters.
- You will get two copies of each card rewarded at the end of boss fights!
Air Battle Over Dragonblight: The E.V.I.L. campaign
In the course of this adventure, the forces of the Good and the E.V.I.L will face each other one last time in Northrend, for the future of the world of Azeroth. In a similar way to the first, and the second chapter you will play as one of the E.V.I.L. heroes, and you will face these damned explorers who will come to put a stop to your progress. Your deck (and your opponent's) is pre-built and themed according to your hero!
First Battle: Waxadred vs Dragonrider Talritha
Your decks will be pre-built throughout this adventure (except for the Heroic mode), which means that there will be no deck creation for Galakrond's Awakening.
For this battle, you play Waxadred and his Dragon Rogue deck. Your hero power is Wax Effigy: (2) → Summon a 1/1 copy of a minion.
You face the Paladin deck of the Dragonrider Talritha. Her hero power, Dragonblood, is passive: After a friendly Dragon dies, give ALL minions +1/+1. It also includes your minions, which means it can be both super annoying or super useful.
Heroic mode
No changes.
There is nothing really complicated in this duel, and you'll just have to play carefully to build your board. Try to play around Talrithat's hero power to buff your own minions while trading accordingly to ensure your safety.
At the outcome of this battle, you will be rewarded with two Waxmancy copies.
Second battle: The Sliptsream vs The Wanderer
This fight will definitely remind you of the Tavern Brawl with chess pieces that was available a few years ago.
It brings something quite special and refreshing. Instead of a hero, you're playing a flying ship from the E.V.I.L. armada: The Slipstream. You'll face another ship, the Wanderer, which is obviously part of the Explorers' fleet.
You and your opponent have the same hero power:
- (2) Prepare the Cannons: Add a random cannon to your hand.
Heroic mode
Your opponent's hero power now costs only (1) mana.
You and your opponent are playing a Warrior Rogue deck that revolves around Pirates and Cannons, and the outcome of the battle will depends on your ability to position properly your cannon cards in order to control your opponent's board.
Here again, there is nothing really complicated — but the fight is rather enjoyable!
At the outcome of this battle, you will be rewarded with two Chopshop Copter copies.
Last fight: The Slipstream vs The Dragonflights
For this last battle, you face the Dragonflights with a Warrior Rogue deck very similar to the previous one, with the same hero power, which plays on Auto-Attack Cannons and Pirates.
This time it's not about victory, but survival. You have to hold out for 10 turns, facing very angry dragons!
Heroic mode
Your opponent's hero power now costs only (1) mana.
Be careful not to get overwhelmed, and don't hesitate to use your cards to deal with the opposing minions as quickly as possible.
On the other side, there will be Hunter, Paladin, Druid, Mage, Shaman cards... In short, dragons coming from everywhere! This last boss is really complex to face. Indeed, it starts with one additional mana, and a rather powerful deck, which can pick up, accelerate in mana, and put down big creatures very easily. Manage as much as you can against the opponent threats, and pray that his Ysera is not too powerful!
The hero power of your opponent is quite anecdotal but may surprise you, so beware!
- (2) Dragonflame: Deal 2 damage to an enemy or restore 2 Health to a friendly character
At the outcome of this battle, you will be rewarded with two copies of Risky Skipper and Boompistol Bully.
