As an introduction to the Year of the Phoenix, a new expansion is coming to Hearthstone: Ashes of Outland!
Who says new expansion means new keywords — two actually: Outcast and Dormant!
Outcast
The Outcast keyword is strictly exclusive for the new Demon Hunter class embodied by Illidan Stormrage, the Lord of the Outland. This new mechanic suits him well since he was banished by his brother Malfurion in the original lore of World of Warcraft.
The Outcast mechanic will take effect when a card is played from the right- or leftmost position of your hand. When the effect from a card with Outcast is activable, the card will be highlighted in yellow.

Dormant
Unlike Outcast, the Dormant keyword should be available for all classes. It's something not really new since we have already seen such mechanic in Hearthstone: when summoning a minion with Dormant, it will stay inactive for certain number of turns before activating its effect.
During that time, this minion will be untargetable and insensible to AoE effects (Plague of Death for instance)
