How to get the Shark Minion in FFXIV — The Major-General
To unlock The Major-General in FFXIV you will have to get your fishing rod out and go do some Ocean Fishing — it's an achievement reward.
To get the minion, players will have to earn the "No More Fish in the Sea I" achievment.
No More Fish in the Sea I
Score at least 5,000 points during a single ocean fishing voyage.
Unlocking Ocean Fishing
If you haven't unlocked Ocean Fishing yet, it's really easy and doesn't require much time.
Just go to the Fishermen's Guild located in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 7.8 Y: 14.5) and talk to Fhilsnoe after clearing the first quest for the guild.
After unlocking Ocean Fishing, talking to Dryskthota in the Lower Decks (X: 3.0 Y:12.7) will let you check the schedule for Ocean Fishing and get on the boat.
Once out on the open waters, get fishing and the Shark Minion will soon join your collection!
