Cyberpunk 2077 side missions can take you far. After completing the mission "I fought the law" for Peralez, along with River Wards, this new quest is mandatory to unlock romance with River, and it must be completed successfully for it.
The Hunt Quest Walkthrough
After his phone call, go to the place indicated and wait. Then enter the lab with River, you have several options depending on your Attributes. This includes unlocking the back door with the technique, prying open the garage door with the Constitution, and jumping over the backyard wall. Once inside, search until an acquaintance of River appears. Leave the scene then.
Second stop, the house of the Wards and the nephew's bungalow. You have to search it for clues. They are sometimes difficult to spot, here is the list:
- The key which is in the kitchen, it allows to open the drawer of the night table in the bedroom.
- The laptop hidden under the bed. To open it, you need either a high Intelligence score, or scan the posters and turn on the turntable which will launch a piece of music that will serve as a clue.
Then comes the hacking of the computer go to the Net, click on the image on the left, then on the pirate site go to "Join us" and "File". Open the "ATT_ANIM_VIDEO" video file. If you have a high intelligence score, you can also hack the page to directly get the culprit's IP address. Go talk to Joss then go to sleep.
Analysis of braindances
The next day the painful things begin if you don't like braindances. Watching them while speeding up the viewing helps in any case. Watch each DS then go over the scenery and the characters in review in each yellow stripe. The only really important DS is the 3rd, the info you want is the solar panel at 00:27 in the next room and the plate at 1:00 between the wall and the garage doors. Without these 2 clues you risk arriving at the wrong farm, which will cause the death of the nephew and cut the rest.
Farm and rescue
Once on the farm, she has an important automated defense system. You are spoiled for choice to navigate your way. Use engineering to defuse everything (and gain Skill points). Use hack to turn everything off easily, or just shoot mines and turrets. Enter the house on the right and open the secret door upstairs to disable everything via a computer if you wish.
To enter the barn, you have to go through the gauge and climb through the scaffolding to go through an open window.
Once the nephew is saved, River Ward considers revenge. You have to either dissuade him from doing it or say that you are going to help him. If you encourage him to just take revenge, it will put an end to the mission streak and possible romance. Once the mission is complete, you should receive a call from River and an invitation over the next few days.
