The announcement of the Petalace being added to Monster Hunter Rise was done without fanfare, having appeared in the corner of a page of the official site dedicated to the local fauna.
How useful is the Petalace?
Equipping the Petalace is why much of the local wildlife is friendly with your hunter.
The main effect of the Petalace is to collect pollen from Spirlbirds and keep hold of its permanent buffs until the end of a quest.
As seen in the image below, there are several variations of the Petalace. Some variants improve your attack, while others increase maximum health. The other variants are stamina and defense.
This image above is particularly interesting since it displays part of the hunter's equipment panel with weapons and armor.
We already knew that the survival tools introduced in Monster Hunter World would not be there, but it is more astonishing that there is no part for amulets or talismans either.
It is likely that this is due to the screenshot coming from an unfinished version of the game. It is also possible that this type of object is not displayed on this particular page.
After all, one of the game's pre-order bonuses was the "Apprentice Talisman".
How To Create A Petalace
According to the official website, the Petalace is made from a plant known as the Sending Sprig, meaning it doesn't require conventional materials to craft it.
It's safe to say that obtaining its different versions, or more powerful versions, is done by completing quests or delivery missions.
There is the possibility that additional materials from monsters may be required from time to time.
