Try to damage the head, tail, and arms of the Somnacanth. Capture it afterward to get its claws, and a small chance to get the Wyvern Gem and the Duros Bone, which are very useful for creating gems and other items that are not necessarily related to the monster.
Somnacanth Armor Set
One of the most beautiful armor sets in the game. The Blessing talent is very useful to easily improve your survival rate.
Somnacanth Weapons
Unless you absolutely want a weapon with a sleeping effect, the Somnacanth's weapons really aren't that great, either in terms of damage or slash.
