In WoW Classic, you'll earn talents starting at level 10. You will get the option to place these into any of the three specialisations of your class. This can also be reset at your trainer.
Talents: summary of the basics
From level 10, all players regardless of their class have the opportunity to place points through three specialization trees to gain various skills (passive or active). One talent point is earned per level from level 10, up to level 60, allowing you to assign a maximum of 51 points. For a Warrior for example, the talent tree looks like this:
For more information on the best talents to choose from, we strongly advise you to consult our specialization guides.
Where to reset my talents?
When you have placed at least one talent point in one of the three trees available to your specialization, you have the option to go back to your trainer and reset your talents so you may redistribute them at a cost.
To do this, you must go to one of your class trainers. Generally, they are located in the capitals of your faction (Orgrimmar, Undercity or Thunder Bluff for the Horde, Stormwind, Ironforge or Darnassus for the Alliance), or more rarely in some villages (Brill, Goldshire etc)
Talk to a guard at one of your faction's capitals or flight masters and ask them to tell you the location of the trainer of your closest class, this will then be displayed on your map and mini-map.
Price: Increases and Discounts
Before any talent reset, you must prepare yourself to pay gold ... A lot of gold. Here's how it works:
- The first reset of your talent points costs 1 gold, regardless of your level and the number of talent points to reset.
- The next one costs 5 gold coins.
- Each reset increases the cost of the next 5 gold coins, up to a maximum of 50 gold coins.
- The cost is reduced by 5 gold coins every month, but can not be less than 15 gold coins.
Note: Currently on the beta, the price to reset is set to 1 silver, this will change when Classic goes live.
