To help ease the burden of levelling in WoW Classic, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide on the best Talents, Weapons, and Professions, as well as other information that you’ll need to know as a Druid.

Levels up very quickly
Unparalleled mobility
Excellent survivability
Can be a Tank, Healer or a DPS
Incredible at World PvP
Able to solo a lot of things that are not usually soloable
Can use a Travel Form at Level 30
First 10 levels are long and tedious
Rather weak after Level 40
Not viable at a high level, at least as a DPS
Lots of spells to learn, which itself is not cheap

Stats to Focus On When Levelling

Strength > Agility > Stamina > Intellect = Spirit

Best Build For Levelling

Your main goal in this build is to maximise the strength of Cat Form, and to a lesser degree Bear Form as well. Though it is very weak before Level 10, it is very strong afterwards. However, this build does eventually become less effective from Level 40 onwards. Yet it is still the most effective build, regardless of level. Here are the talents you should prioritise when levelling up:

  1. Ferocity 5/5
  2. Thick Hide 5/5
  3. Sharpened Claws 3/3
  4. Feline Swiftness 2/2
  5. Predatory Strikes 3/3
  6. Improved Shred 2/2
  7. Faerie Fire (Feral) 1/1
  8. Nature’s Grasp 1/1
  9. Improved Nature’s Grasp 4/4
  10. Natural Weapons 5/5
  11. Omen of Clarity 1/1
  12. Furor 5/5
  13. Natural Shapeshifter 3/3
  14. Savage Fury 2/2
  15. Blood Frenzy 2/2
  16. Heart of the Wild 5/5
  17. Leader of the Pack 1/1
  18. Feral Charge 1/1

Note: Before Level 20, put 1 point in Nature’s Grasp, 4 in Improved Nature’s Grasp, and 5 in Natural Weapons. Then respec when you reach Level 20 and follow the order above.

What Race Should I Choose?

Tauren

Taurens are one of only two races that can be Druids, along with Night Elves. It is as viable as its alliance contemporary, with its Endurance being very useful for tanking (which you will have to do sooner or later). War Stomp is also useful due to its flexibility. Finally, Nature Resistance gives you additional survivability in some specific situations.

Night Elf

In addition to their Quickness, which gives them a slight gain in survivability, Night Elf Druids benefit from Shadowmeld, which drastically improves the effectiveness of Prowl.

WoW Classic: Race Tier List

World of Warcraft: Classic has a number of races to choose from, and making that choice has long-term consequences. You don't want to regret your choice later, so we've broken down the races in our tier list for WoW: Classic.

Professions

Herbalism

If you follow our guide when choosing a profession, Herbalism is a great choice, as if you also choose Alchemy, you can effectively become self-sufficient. And even if you don't choose Alchemy, you can still farm materials, either to give to your guild, or to sell at the Auction House for a tidy profit.

Engineering

Engineering is the best choice by default, as it is widely used in both PvP and PvE. From Goblin Sapper Charges, to Arcanite Dragonlings, to even Dense Dynamite, you'll always find Engineering to be useful in some way or another!

Alchemy

Alchemy is one of the most important professions in World of Warcraft Classic, as alchemists can not only create flasks, but they can also craft a wide range of powerful potions, each as strong as the next. Given that Druids don't have to take up a profession to craft specific pieces of armour, they make ideal alchemists!

WoW Classic: Profession Tier List

World of Warcraft: Classic has a number of professions to choose from, from crafting armour with Blacksmithing and Leatherworking to farming materials with Herbalism and Minning. With something for everyone, here is our Classic Profession tier list.

Macros and Addons

There aren't any must-have addons specifically for Druids, but here are some that will make your levelling easier across the board:

  1. Azeroth Auto Pilot
  2. Questie
  3. ClassicCastbars
  4. EquipCompare
  5. EZDismount
  6. MobInfo
