Situations tend to get out of hand in Cyberpunk 2077 and while "negociating" with the Maelstrom you could check for Brick, the previous leader of the gang. At the far left of the second big room is a closed door behind which Brick is locked.
The first step is to open the door is to press the switch on the side, you don't have to interact directly with the door.
Then comes the rescue of Brick himself, be careful not to go through the mine's laser, this will trigger the explosion. You have at least 3 possible solutions to save him:
- Approach the mine and disarm it with your Technical skill.
- Hack the mine.
- Go to the next room, the mine switch is placed on a crate.
Once Brick is released, he will offer you his thanks and says he'll help in the futur. You'll see him again in a futur subquest.
