With League of Legends tenth anniversary, Riot Games intended to prove they were capable of changing, not only by adding new games such as Teamfight Tactics or Legends of Runeterra to their panel but also by blowing a wind of fresh air onto the Summoner's Rift with Rise of the Elements.
The new sides alcoves now allow tons of outplays, the new Drakes and the Rift changes associated with each element forced a new meta heavily focused on the bottom of the map, and the last champions that have been released — Senna and Aphelios — are currently permabanned.
The preseason is running wild, and all new aspects and mechanics of the games that Riot implemented lately should be heavily balanced with patch 10.1 on January 8, 2020.
It also means that the new Ranked season will start on January 10, 2020. All Ranked players will lose their Season 9 rank and will have to play 10 new games in order to be placed in a new Division.
