Yesterday, Fortnite's official Twitter account sparked the interest of its community by responding to a publication by Warner Bros Pictures. Underneath a picture of the stars of the upcoming movie Birds of Prey — which will be released in theaters on February 5 — we could see the Epic Games account saying "See you soon Harley."
A minor tweet that says nothing some will say, but which could well have big implications! It may be a clue to the next collaboration set up in Fortnite. It wouldn't be the first time that the battle royale would build a collaboration with a character from the DC Universe — see the collaboration with Batman in Season 10. The response tweet might imply that a Harley Quinn skin could be released in-game.
This thesis remains to be taken with a pinch of salt since, at the time of writing, Epic Games hasn't published an official press release on the collaboration.
Nevertheless, the establishment of the collaboration at the beginning of next month makes sense since it fits with the delay of the beginning of Chapter 2 Season 2 to February 20.
Introduced to cinema with Suicide Squad in 2016, Harley Quinn — performed by Margot Robbie — is back in action in Birds of Prey to defeat one of Gotham's crime lords. It must be admitted that the character and her partners in crime have a very strong visual identity, capable of creating a nice series of skins!
