It's appears to be a year of redemption for games as a service. Bioware's disappointing space-themed MMO Anthem is set for a massive redesign, as confirmed yesterday by Bioware.
In a new post on the studio's official blog, General Manager Casey Hudson discussed the reasons behind the redesign of the gaming experience, as well as the team's new goals. The gameplay and player progression will become a priority for Bioware in the coming months.
At the same time, Anthem will continue to add events, starting with the celebration of the game's first anniversary. However, the game will remain in a state of stasis over the coming months.
The post also states that more care and time will be given to the testing phases and to the balancing, which was sorely lacking in the base game.
No timeframe is set for this redesign, but we'll keep you posted as and when any further news comes to light.
