The February 18 teaser, featuring a gas canister, may contain some information on the subject. A Reddit user, StereoMissile, has assembled the golden pieces that are scattered in the original image. The result is striking, and takes us directly back to Chapter 1 Season 4, showing the Superheroes and Carbide symbol.
At the moment it's difficult to establish any link between Carbide and the incoming plot. The gas canister itself gives little information. All we know is that it's a flammable item available in various locations in Apollo island. One thing is certain: between the dynamite, the bomb and the gas canister, something cataclysmic is about to happen... Only superheroes seem to have the shoulders to put some order in there!
Another teaser sequence can be observed when launching Fortnite. This time it shows a device that looks very much like a bomb or a torpedo. The background of this image announces the arrival of an oil platform on the map.
