Fortnite x Travis Scott: Does the Butterfly Rift in the sky grow after the concert?

He brings back memories to the Fortnite veterans at the end of each concert. The Butterfly that closes the show had already appeared in the past, during the explosion of the Cube (aka Kevin). It could be a clue to a change in the map, or even a return of the old map ...

Fortnite x Travis Scott: Does the Butterfly Rift in the sky grow after the concert?

One of the elements in Travis Scott Astronomical concert in Fortnite caught the attention of some players. The Butterfly — entirely made up of rift fragments — is the image that ends each virtual concert, in a great burst of light.

Since that night, some dataminers — such as Lucas7Yoshi and FNBRLeaks — have suggested that the Butterfly grew after the concert. The theory was immediately corroborated by other people, sending their screenshots in turn.

A Return of Chapter 1 map?

If this Butterfly is so familiar, it's simply because it's rooted in the history of Fortnite. In November 2018, it was the result of the explosion of Kevin the Cube. As it touched our avatar, the Butterfly took us on a journey through time and dimensions to discover Leaky Lake — replacing Loot Lake.

The Butterfly of the concert also reminds us of rifts — those mysterious entities that made players teleport themselves, or that modified week after week the locations on the map during Season X.

If the Butterfly grows again and again, something might happen after Travis Scott Astronomical Tour, scheduled for Sunday, April 26. We could hypothesize the appearance of a new zone, or even a complete change in the map. Some pro players had admitted having believed in a return to the old map.

We'll have to look carefully at the scale of the Butterfly at the end of the two remaining concerts, and above all see if anything changes on Sunday after the final show.
