From its first edition last Friday, Travis Scott Astronomical Concert entered the pantheon of the most beautiful events ever broadcast in Fortnite. It was a feat — both artistically and technically — transporting all players into a journey through space and time, in a profoundly psychedelic universe.
This Monday, Epic Games revealed the total statistics obtained by the five concerts. In total, nearly 27.7 million unique spectators attended the show.
The first concert alone gathered 12.7 million players. Tens of millions of viewers would have to be added to these figures if you count the views on Twitch, YouTube and content creators' montages. The latter also benefited of extended rights to use the video and music content of the event, especially for the occasion.
Unanimously acclaimed by the Fortnite community, the event put the battle royale back in the spotlight — even though the #RIPFortnite hashtag had been raging on social networks the previous weekend.
