While Fallout 76 wasn't successful, Bethesda still has some concerns about its post-apocalyptic game. Inspired by the success of The Witcher on Netflix and the upcoming anime adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, Amazon Studios has tweeted about a new TV series based on Fallout.
Todd Howard, CEO at Bethesda Game Studios, is excited about the creation of this new series, produced by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, the creators of HBO Westworld.
The screenwriters explain that they want to draw inspiration from the "harsh tone" and "moments of ironic humor and B-movie-nuclear-fantasies" to produce the series, we also learn that they want to highlight "the harshness of the wasteland set against the previous generation’s utopian idea of a better world through nuclear energy". For the moment, no official release date has been announced.
