Microsoft discontinues Xbox One X and One S All Digital Edition

Following their withdrawal from the Microsoft Store, Amazon, and other resellers websites, Microsoft officially announced they will halt the production of their Xbox One X and S in digital version only.

According to The Verge, Microsoft is preparing the ground for the future Xbox Series X, scheduled for the end of the year. Announced as the "most powerful console in the world" when it was released, the Xbox One X will be retired three years of loyal service.

That said, it is always possible to glean one of the two consoles from different resellers — but we will have to hurry. In the meantime, players that already have their eyes turned on the next-gen consoles can enjoy the Xbox Games Showcase conference scheduled for July 23.

As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we’re taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally.”
