Lost Ark, the hugely successful MMORPG launched in Korea at the end of 2018, could soon be landing on Western shores the West, if speculation is to be believed.
Amazon Games Studio has announced that it has signed an agreement concerning publishing rights with the Korean studio, Smilegate RPG, and Lost Ark could well be the result of that deal.
For the moment, Amazon has been rather evasive about just which Smilegate titles will make the transition to a western audience. We only know that both companies are planning a launch for next year.
In any case, the deal is an interesting prospect for Amazon, which is expanding its game offering as it goes along. These offerings include New World — scheduled for Spring 2021 — and Crucible — a free-to-play multiplayer third-person shooter.
