Nerd Street Gamers and Comcast are joining forces to host their first all-women’s Valorant tournament: the FTW Summer Showdown. This is in line with the FTW (For The Women) events, an initiative created two years ago by Comcast and aimed at helping women wishing to make a living from Esports/Gaming to make themselves known.
The tournament begins on September 5 with a series of Qualifiers, only eight teams will get the right to participate in the main event which kicks off on September 12 and which promises a $10,000 prize pool.
Nerd Street Gamers and Comcast are used to working together. Just a few weeks ago the duo hosted the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown, a competition belonging to the Ignitions Series. It's recalled that Comcast is indeed co-owner of the T1 team, the brand being born from the alliance between the Korean company SK Telecom and the American company Comcast.
