Epic Games turns on the warning signals as iOS 14 deployment approaches on Apple devices. According to the publisher, this patch could result in Fortnite being permanently removed from the updated device. This is a major issue for iOS users who, due to the open war between Apple and Epic, can no longer reinstall the battle royale.
This disturbance is another consequence of the conflict between Apple and Epic Games, which is now more than a month old.
By trying to bypass the 30% tax imposed by Apple on micro-transactions made on games downloaded from the App Store, Epic Games is involved in an unprecedented conflict.
In retaliation, Apple has frozen all deployments of Fortnite updates to iOS starting with v13.40, and has removed the battle royale from its application store.
