EwOk becomes the first transgender esports player in a major international organization. On the occasion of the Coming Out Day held on October 11 in the United States and some European countries, the Faze Clan player/streamer had the courage to claim his transidentity and leap in a public way on social networks, through a twitlonger.
EwOk made a point of thanking the support and encouragement received via Twitter. Ewok's choice is all the more courageous when you consider the player's age (15 years old).
It's undoubtedly a great step forward for transgender people in the videogame and esports worlds, which, as in any other environment, too often come up against sometimes hateful behaviors.
He joined FaZe Clan when he was only 13 years old. Deaf, he took part in the Celebrity Pro-Am during the Fortnite World Cup, donating his winnings ($20,000) to charity. Ewok has also played on numerous occasions with Ninja and Dr. Lupo, who are among the most influential streamers in North America.
