At the end of Fortnite Season 4, the famous battle bus was reworked by Tony Stark, and transformed into a real space shuttle — with protective metal plates and propulsion by a gamma core. The spacecraft has received the support of a futuristic technology.
In a very recent tweet from the official Fortnite account, we learn that dozens of gamma cells will be amassed in the battle bus, to be used against Galactus.
Another image, visible above, shows a contingent of battle buses flying to war! We can already imagine that they'll have a huge role to play in the live event against Galactus. They could act like bombers, attacking the colossal villain from the air.
In the Marvel universe, gamma cells have an ambivalent role. These wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum cause death and destruction, bringing disease or malformations to those exposed. They're also responsible for rare mutations that can develop superhuman abilities.
This is the story of Hulk, who becomes a powerful green monster after being exposed to large doses of gamma cells.
At the time of writing, it's difficult to predict what these gamma cells will be used for. They probably come from the factories of Tony Stark, so it's hard to imagine the battle bus drivers being the bad guys in this story!
