Each beginning of a season brings its share of novelties, making the first days lively and full of surprises. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is no exception and players were able to discover many new additions.
Mobility is always a challenge. How will we be able to move around on the map? Between cars and boats, Epic Games isn't lacking in imagination. In Season 5, we saw the emergence of two new and unprecedented mechanics: stones and quicksand.
Location
The two novelties are located in the center of the map, bounded by the great desert. Find all the information about quicksand here. Located in the same place, the stones will allow you to move faster by performing short distance teleports.
Scour the desert in search of one of these pink stones. You'll find some directly on the ground or by breaking one of the rocks present in the desert. They don't take up any space in the inventory and are to be consumed on the spot.
These stones will give you a boost allowing you to make short teleports by pressing twice on your jump key. You'll then gain in mobility and will be very difficult to target by enemies. On the other hand, they don't allow you to pass through constructions.
