A file of an alpha version of Dragon Age 4 was found on the PlayStation Store. This was discovered by a dataminer that was checking Sony’s database. However, no official statement from developer Bioware or publisher EA has been made yet.
The next episode of the Dragon Age saga is yet to be shown in motion. Since its announcement, we've only received a cinematic teaser featuring Solas, many pieces of concept art and some words from developers, who revealed that this will be a single player adventure only and it’s highly unlikely that it will be release before April 2022.
The discovery of the alpha file was highlighted by PlayStation Game Size, a popular Twitter account that informs players about every update and any new content coming to the PS Store. Sometimes, even leaks or findings such as this one.
Is it going to be an alpha version open to anyone? Just a demonstration or preview by selected people? There are a bunch of options and it could be something as simple as a series of gifts, such as wallpapers, themes or icons, that will be available for download at the PS Store in the near future.
In any case, what seems to be likely to happen is that we will get new information about Dragon Age 4 during EA Play’s next event. It will be held on July 22 and is expected to feature some of the most exciting upcoming titles from the publisher, such as Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 22.
