Since the launch of Season 2 the build removal in Fortnite caused many questions within the community. This was only supposed to be temporary, but with that many new and old players back into the game, Epic Games had no choice but to put it as permanent.

However, the publisher may have a choice to make in the future. Especially for the competitive side of Fortnite. Splitting your own community in two may work for a while, but when the time comes to announcing a new World Cup, you will probably have to choose a mode to play on.
