While Starfield's release date is still scheduled for November 11, 2022, Xbox and Bethesda have announced a June showcase today. Regarding the information that should be given, the name of Starfield is on everyone's lips, and there is no doubt that players will have a glimpse of what awaits them in this future title.
Starfield, a future great video game saga?
The game will mainly revolve around space exploration, taking players to the depths of the universe, far away from planet Earth. Billed as an RPG, it's not yet known how the storyline will fit into the game. You will have to restart the game several times to discover all the possible routes. Several factions that the player will be able to join have already been announced : the Colonial Union, representing "an idealized future of the Space Republic" , Liber Astra, a "space fantasy western" oriented faction, Ryujin Industries, with a more cyberpunk atmosphere, and finally the Scarlet Fleet, a seemingly hostile faction of pirates who will have to find a way to join their ranks. On the other hand, it has not been said if it will be possible to join several like Skyrim, or if joining a faction blocks access to others.
While exploration has been heavily promoted by Bethesda, the music will also take center stage in the game. The studio recently released a video to showcase the work done on this soundtrack. It might seem anecdotal, but a very large part of gamers today are able to recognize the Dovakhin theme from the first notes, proof that good music always sublimates a good video game. During the upcoming showcase, the publisher should unveil the first images of the game. For now, only concept art and part of the soundtrack have been revealed, apart from what players expect above all, these are the first images of the game. However, as this conference is still relatively far in the future, it is not impossible that the first IG visuals will be revealed before, and that this showcase will rather show gameplay. Anyway, players around the world will no doubt be curious to see what this "Skyrim in space" could give.
