A Fortnite chapter that only lasts four short seasons? This idea may seem delusional, but it is nevertheless what could well await us at the turn. The day after the deployment of the all-new season 4, several influential dataminers have identified sets of clues, which show that a very close chapter change cannot be ruled out . If this hypothesis were to become reality, the current chapter 3 would become the shortest in the entire history of the game, being made up of only four seasons instead of ten.
A sense of deja vu
Barely 24 hours after the release of Season 4, dataminers noticed some strange similarities between it and Chapter 2 Season 8, which ended with a switch to a new chapter. First of all, the descriptions of the cosmetic items of the Herald ( the new big bad of the season, editor's note ) and the Queen of the Cube are identical, more or less. The coincidence here seems very unlikely, especially since other elements support this resemblance.
When we look at the direction that the propagation of chromium seems to take, we notice that it is indeed very similar to that of the propagation of cubes.
Codename: Asteria
Finally, dataminers isolated a file called "Asteria" a few weeks ago. It is particularly remarkable because it is the code name of the next map of the game, and it should logically see the light of day from the next season. And we are not talking about some topographical changes. We are talking about a 100% new map, as is traditionally the case for the start of new chapters.
Within the community, we even wonder if Epic Games would not take advantage of this to finally reintegrate the map from the beginnings of Fortnite. This is what countless fans would like!
