We were expecting it and we got it: Respawn Entertainment's announcement at Oculus Connect 6 is about a well-known license since it is Medal of Honor, which will have the honor to come on Oculus' VR headsets. After 8 years of silence, the Electronic Arts franchise will resurface following 3 years of development in collaboration with Oculus VR under the name of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond.
A video presenting the game and featuring several members of the production team was unveiled, including Peter Hirschmann, the director, who was already present at the very beginning of the Medal of Honor adventure in 1999. Of course, it will be a cinematic FPS taking place during World War II within the French Resistance where we will play as an OSS agent supporting the resistance fighters. The game will be held on land as well as in the air or on seas as fighting is raging all over Europe. The title, expected in 2020 on Oculus Rift, will offer both a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes.
