Gold Veins are a node found in the wilds of New World which players can mine for Gold Ore.
Bright yellow in color, they tend to be found in clusters in mid-level territories.
Here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Gold Ore in New World.
What do you need Gold Ore for in New World?
A Tier III metal used in Smelting, mining Gold Veins will give you ore that is used used to create Gold Ingots. This is then used in a number of Arcana, Jewelcrafting, Weaponsmithing, and Engineering recipes.
In order to mine Gold Veins, you'll need a Mining Pickaxe. There's a requirement of Mining Lv. 45 mine them, and you'll be able to track Gold Vein nodes from Mining Skill Lv. 70.
The best locations to farm Gold Ore in New World
This is where the metals become more rare, and nodes fewer and far between. These four locations are probably your best options.
Cutlass Keys, top to bottom
The first route takes you between Cutlass Keys and First Light. Perhaps the best route is to start in the south, so fast travel to First Light Hamlet. Head northwest to the Howling Falls and then follow the range.
Pick up all the nodes you can, and then cross the ridge into the area of Rothoard Hollow for the remaining veins. You'll be close to Cutlass Keys following this trip.
Mourningdale in the morning...
Fast travel into Ram's Respite, then head east along the path, picking up veins on the rocky outcrop. A few more can be found In Ramshead Cave.
Then, you'll want to head south along the coast, past New Balefire to Broken Promise for the cluster there. Keep heading south to Smuggler's Cave to another cluster, then work your way around the range to Stephen's Claim.
Collect the last cluster of veins, and you'll be just northeast of Mourningdale Hamlet to process your haul.
A congregation of veins
This path takes you on a little trip through three territories. Start by porting into the South Pestilence Shrine in Weaver's Fen, then head west to The Congregation, where your first cluster of veins is.
Strike northwest towards the Alchemist's Shrine for your second cluster, around the riverside ridge next to Lush Hideaway in Brightwood. Follow the river north, for the final cluster on the border just east of Chancellor's Torment.
Brightwood Hamlet lies just to the northwest for easy processing.
High-level farming
The final, quickest, and best cluster of Gold Ore is in the Great Cleave. Luckily, it's right next to the Tempest Valley Shrine.
They're found between Sunderfort, south of the Shrine, through the Defiler Excavation and into Frostbite Den on the eastern side of the ridge.
