Reported by Respawnfirst, this new Sony PS5 patent introduces new features for the Dualshock 5: biofeedback. This would mean that the handles of your controller would measure your pulse as well as your sweating, and modify your gaming experience accordingly. This feature would be used in virtual reality games to provide more immersion by adapting to the user's reactions.
Respawnfirst rightly points out that this could lead to abuses such as the resale of your biometric data to third parties. However, these patents don't always come to life and even if they appear on the web, it doesn't mean that they'll be integrated on the final version of the product either.
