Lacking any new features last week, Fortnite is back with brand new content in update 12.40. The map has undergone some changes, including The Shark which has become a prison.
As with every time files are added, dataminers have risen at dawn to try to discover in advance the clues scattered throughout the game's code lines. Among them is what seems to be the next limited time mode of the battle royale: Arsenic. The games will be available in Duos and Squads.
Sentences have been datamined in the game files, leaving clues about the mechanics of this new game mode: "You've become Infected! Get out there and take care of those pesky humans. — You're human! If you want to stay that way, gear up, team up, and survive against the Infected."
The fight seems to be between humans and infected. For the time being, no information on how to become infected is known. The mode is likely to make its appearance soon.
