Months after the release of Legends of Runeterra, most players are still wondering if some of the cards of Riot Games' CCG might end up being transformed into League of Legends champions.
According to Rioter Alexey "Nitraka" Podgoretsky, who held a Q&A session on VK.com, fans should be able to see some of the game's most popular cards implemented into League of Legends. When asked about potential plans to merge or at least create bridges between the two games, Nitraka clearly teased the arrival of some LoR units into the Rift.
Between Tianna Crownguard, the aunt of Lux and Garen, Commander Ledros from the Shadow Isles, or even Scarmother Vrynna from Freljord, Riot Games has a plethora of choices.
Of course, the champion who comes out on top is Yasuo's half-brother, Yone. Although he's supposed to be dead in LoL's lore, Riot Games could find a subterfuge to make him return to the world of the living, just like they did with Senna.
Yasuo's brother has become a recurring subject. In their 2020 Roadmap, Riot had announced Fiddlesticks' and Volibear's reworks but they also mentioned the arrival of two champions — one of whom could easily be Yone.
Riot recently hinted that they were planning to release six new champions in the next 12 months, which means there's a good chance that a Legends of Runeterra champion will be among them.
Which unit from Riot Games' CCG would you like to see implemented in the game? Feel free to drop your opinion in the comment section below!
