A new bug has been discovered in Valorant since Patch 1.06 was released. This one is quite annoying, since it makes the flashbang of agent Phoenix almost unusable. Players have massively reported the issue to Riot Games, which is trying to fix it as soon as possible.
Phoenix is a duelist who relies heavily on his Curveball ability. This allows him to flash all opponents who are looking in the direction of the projectile. Because it has a curved trajectory, this allows Phoenix to stick to a safe angle before he can run after the enemies are dazzled or have let go of their line of sight.
Without his ability, Phoenix must only rely on his skill to win duels... More generally, his usefulness is less without it, because he has a hard time entering a bomb site.
However, since the last patch, Curveball has been behaving quite randomly. Sometimes it has difficulty to curve its trajectory, other times it's the throwing distance that is wrong (it goes too far or not far enough). Impossible for players to adapt, and they end up flashing themselves or blinding their teammates.
While waiting for the problem to be solved, for your own good and that of your team, we advise you to play other agents! Why not Killjoy? The last bug concerning her turrets has been fixed.
