On the run for months and months, Gotham Knights was finally officially revealed by Warner Bros. Montreal Games this afternoon, through a first trailer and with parallel gameplay via a livestream. Batman is absent as Bruce Wayne is presumed dead, a final message he recorded is passed on to a handful of elected officials to take over, fight crime and protect Gotham by joining forces. It's kind of the week of surprise announcements of the genre, since it follows Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which has a pretty similar concept.
- Note that on the side of WB Games, a Suicide Squad game by Rocksteady was also announced a few days ago with a simple tweet. Finally, among the competition, Marvel is preparing to release a Marvel's Avengers game developed by Crystal Dynamics while the next season of Fortnite will be entirely dedicated to the brand.
