Xbox Series S ($ 299) and the Xbox Series X ($ 499) will be available on November 10. But if the machine promises some very interesting features, we shouldn't forget the essential: the games. In this article, which will be updated as many times as necessary, we will cover the titles available as of the launch of the next generation Xbox.
Xbox Series S / X: Launch Games
With Halo Infinite postponed to 2021, no new major titles will be released from Microsoft's many 1st party studios for the launch of these two consoles. Nevertheless, the manufacturer can count on the support of third-party editors, with some large calibers to be expected for the day one of the new generation. Also remember that players will be able to subscribe to the Xbox Gamepass which will soon include the EA Play service giving access to many titles from the American publisher, for $ 10 per month. All this should be accompanied by patches for the optimized Series X games, which will then benefit from optimizations and an upscale of their original resolution.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be the third "action-RPG" episode since the in-depth overhaul of its gameplay, initiated by the sublime Origins. New episode, new context, and this time up to braided beards and pints of beer one meter in diameter since it will be about Vikings, as the title suggests. Finally, few big new features compared to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but is it really a problem, as the formula is polished?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon
If we had ever been told that an episode of Yakuza would be the spearhead of the American manufacturer, with a localized version, we certainly would not have believed it. New episode for a new generation of machines and players, since the saga said goodbye to Kazuma Kiryu in the moving Yakuza 6. For this seventh episode called Like a Dragon, players will discover Ichiban, a big fan of Dragon Quest, part of the reason for the game's new turn-based combat system.
Watch Dogs Legion
Ubisoft, always present for the launch of a new console, offers a second launch game to the Xbox Series. In Watch Dogs Legion, players will be able to recruit any inhabitant to form a solid resistance to future oppression: each recruit archetype will have their own skills, in order to maximize the number of approaches possible in situation.
Gears Tactics
One of the good surprises of this year will be there! The Gears were never expected to shine so much in the tactical arena, and yet they've managed to find a recipe that works like hell, with heated clashes and a universe that lends itself very well to the genre. Already available on the gamepass since the GT should benefit from a famous version "optimized for Series X", thus improving the visual rendering.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light
Beyond Light is a major expansion for Destiny 2 content: several activities and areas will disappear, in favor of many new features. Thus, the Guardians will be able to explore the frozen moon of Jupiter, as a new threat emerges from the stasis. Like every massive expansion, the game will offer a new raid and new instances to clean up between friends, in search of ever smokier blasts.
